Warmer weather on the way with temps forecast to hit 80 degrees

High temperatures will soar into the 80s across the Inland Northwest this weekend.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Overall, the weather will keep getting warmer and warmer all this week, peaking with temperatures in the 80s this weekend. A lot to look forward too.

But not to get too far ahead of ourselves, it's still chilly this morning with a 15mph breeze that's forcing wind chills into the 20s for some. Plus some light sprinkles (maybe flurries) have been noted over Whitman and Benewah Counties. Roads look wet, but that will clear in less than an hour. Temperatures are in the mid 50s to low 60s today with partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday morning may see a chance for light rain showers over North Idaho in the morning, but outside of that, it's dry moving forwards. Temps are near average in the mid 60s Wednesday and then climb into the 70s for Thursday, and 80s on Friday.

Both days this weekend are likely in the low 80s. This is around 15-20 degrees above average. No records to be set (that's 90 and 92 degrees respectively) but Spokane does hit 80 degrees for the first time this year which will feel very summer-like for the region!
