WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, D-7th District, was arrested on Thursday during a civil disobedience action against President Trump's family separation policies.
Congresswoman Jayapal tweeted a video of the protest with the caption, "Today's action is a mass protest, risking arrest, by powerful women, and I'm proud to be a part of it."
She later tweeted out another video after her arrest. The Congresswoman said that she was arrested with more than 500 other women. According to the Congresswoman, the protest is scheduled to continue again on June 30.
On June 30, more than 600 rallies are planned across the country. People have created events on the website front.move.org.
