SPOKANE, Wash. — Meals on Wheels Spokane is throwing a spooky party with free activities for the whole family. The Great Pumpkin Race & Family Carnival will be at the Clock Tower Meadow in Riverfront Park on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature pumpkin races, a vendor fair, trick-or-treating, a photo booth, raffles and costume contests for both people and pets.
The Great Pumpkin Race is racing wheeled pumpkins decorated with all the creativity and Halloween spirit you can conjure. There are five different races for different age groups: ages 1-5, ages 6-10, ages 11-15 and 16 years old and up.
And this year, for the first time ever, there will also be a Corporate Cup. Businesses will be able to race their pumpkins against each other in a friendly and creative competition.
The first 200 racers to register in advance will receive an official Great Pumpkin Race tote bag, thanks to Downtown Grocery Outlet, TDS and GMC of Riverfront Park.
