SPOKANE, Wash. — Officers with the Spokane Police Department are responding to two separate robberies that occurred at two different locations on the South Hill.
According to SPD, officers responded to a robbery at the Numerica Credit Union on South Regal around 4 p.m. Friday. Police are searching for one male suspect who fled the scene on foot.
Police say the second robbery occurred fifteen minutes after the first one. Officers noticed a man attempting to rob a security guard at 57th and Regal. That suspect has been arrested.
Police say the two robberies appear to be unrelated. Officers are contacting witnesses and preparing an investigation into the robbery at Numerica, as that suspect is still on the loose. A K9 search is being organized.
