Baseball is back! Spokane Indians to play home opener on April 5

The Indians will kick off the season with an opening night firework show on Friday, April 5, at 6:35 p.m., at Avista Stadium.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Despite all the madness of March, baseball season is around the corner!

The Spokane Indians will play their home opener against the Vancouver Canadians. The Indians will kick off the season with an opening night firework show on Friday, April 5, at 6:35 p.m., at Avista Stadium.

But wait! Before the first official pitch of the season, baseball fans are encouraged to kick off the season at Fan Fest on April 3 at 5:30 p.m. at Avista Stadium. According to the Spokane Indians' website, admission to the event is free, and it includes Wendy's home run derby and a chance to meet the 2024 team.

The team has plenty of new faces for the 2024 season. The squad features last year's top Colorado Rockies draft picks: pitchers Chase Dollander, Sean Sullivan and INF/OF Cole Carrigg. Shortstop Dyan Jorge is also a top prospect for the club.
