Vietnam and Korean War veterans set to take part in Inland Northwest Honor Flight nation's capital

On this trip there will be 89 veterans in total, 85 served in the Vietnam War and four served in the Korean War.

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — The Inland Northwest Honor Flight is back in action sending veterans to Washington D.C.! The group is hosting another trip to the nation’s capital for the first time since April 2023.

On this trip there will be 89 veterans in total, 85 served in the Vietnam War and four served in the Korean War.

The flight leaves on Monday morning and will return on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The Inland Northwest Honor Flight is encouraging community members who can attend to see the veterans off as well as being at the airport to welcome them home!

This trip will be the only for Honor Flight in 2024 due to donation shortfalls in 2020 and 2021. The group says they are catching up now and are hoping to return to two trips per year in 2025.

The Honor Flight is an organization with chapters around the country whose mission is to transport war veterans to Washington D.C. so they can see the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
