Schweitzer Mountain closing this weekend to end the ski season

From live music and auctions to scavenger hunts and a "Yellow Snow Eating Contest," skiers and snowboarders will have a lot to look forward to this weekend.

SANDPOINT, Idaho — Schweitzer Mountain will be holding several special events this weekend to wrap up this year's ski season.

According to the resort's website, the mountain will be hosting Season Passholder Appreciation Day, which includes live music, an auction, awards and raffles for a chance to win a season pass. More info on the event can be found here.

In addition, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., skiers and snowboarders can participate in Ponderay Rotary's Annual Grin it to Win It Fundraiser. Also, the "Pick a Prize" raffle event will be held at Sam's Alley Pizza from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Sunday, skiers and snowboarders can participate in a Kids Scavenger Hunt, a costume contest, the annual favorite "Yellow Snow Eating Contest," and other fun events.
