Power back on for more than 400 customers in Hayden

Avista fixed the problem and turned power back on around 3 p.m.

HAYDEN, Idaho — Update: Avista customers in Hayden now have their electricity back on in their homes.

Gusty weather conditions caused a power outage for more than 400 Avista customers in Hayden, Idaho on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Avista outage map, the outage was reported at around 1:15 p.m. 410 customers in Hayden do not have power as of 2 p.m. If times change, customers are told to check the Avista website for more information.

KREM 2 called Avista for more details. Avista investigated the cause of the outage. Avista advised customers to stay away from any downed power lines. Meanwhile, Avista crews are still working to turn the gas back on for thousands of customers on the Palouse
