YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - One of the suspects in the June shooting deaths of five people in White Swan was arraigned on a federal carjacking charge.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that Donovan Quinn Carter Cloud appeared in U.S. District Court on Wednesday, where he was also arraigned on charges of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Cloud and James Dean Cloud have been tied to the June 8 shooting deaths of Dennis Overacker, Michelle Starnes, Thomas Hernandez, Catherine Eneas and John Cagle.
Authorities also arrested two other people in connection with the killings.
Prosecutors allege the Clouds and Jacksons left the scene of the killings together in a car, and parted ways after it broke down.
A witness told investigators that Morris Jackson threw a .22-caliber rifle into an irrigation canal after the car broke down.
