SPOKANE, Wash — Catholic Charities is hiring more than 10 temporary positions at the new COVID-19 Isolation Center at the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, according to a press release.
The Catholic Diocese of Spokane hosted a dedication and blessing of the center on Wednesday, Aug. 19. It is slated to open within the next few weeks.
According to a press release, the isolation center will be staffed 24/7 and have the capacity to serve up to 50 people at a time, including space for families. Households will be referred through the Spokane Regional Health District and be able to stay at the isolation center if they are pending COVID-19 test results or confirmed to be positive.
Room and board will be provided to individuals and families throughout their isolation stay. SRHD will provide programmatic consultation and isolation expertise, and medical care and behavioral health/substance use disorder services will be provided by contracted parties.
The positions at the isolation center are guaranteed through December 2020, according to Catholic Charities. The jobs include hourly/salary pay, an additional monthly stipend and health/dental benefits from the first day of work for employee, with an option to add insurance for dependents.
Open positions include:
- 1 Site Manager, $4,840 monthly salary (FT), plus additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- 1 Social Worker, $4,400 monthly salary (FT), plus additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- 2 FT Operations Assistant Day Shift, $18 per hour plus benefits/ additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- 2 PT Operations Assistant Day Shift, $18 per hour plus additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- 2 FT Operations Assistant Swing Shift, $18 per hour plus benefits/additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- 2 PT Operations Assistant Swing Shift, $18 per hour plus additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
- Operations Assistant On Call, $18 per hour plus additional stipend of $1,500-3,000 monthly
Staff are offered an on-site living option and will have extensive exposure risk mitigation training with program funders, Catholic Charities leaders said.
They will also provide individualized support from human resources to staff interested in future long-term employment opportunities.
