Here are the snow totals from Wednesday's winter storm

A potent winter storm buried the Inland Northwest in a blanket of snow Wednesday, closing schools and halting traffic.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The biggest snowstorm of the season so far dropped serious snow across the Inland Northwest Wednesday. Heavy snow cancelled school, closed interstate 90 and brought the evening commute to a halt. Spokane got its first full city plow of the year after 5.8 inches of snow were measured at the airport.

The first storm of the one-two punch this week moved out of the region Wednesday night. Some locations received the better part of a foot of fresh snow ahead of our next round arriving Thursday night.

The next round doesn’t look to pack the punch we saw Wednesday. Nonetheless, it is likely that most of the Inland Northwest wakes up to another 1 to 2 inches of snow Friday morning. But, enjoy the snow while you can. Warmer weather and rain is in the forecast this weekend.
