SPOKANE, Wash. — Memorial Day weekend is sometimes known as the unofficial start to the summer season. The weather pattern won't fully be summer-like in the Inland Northwest just yet, but pleasant spring weather will be here for the weekend with a chance of showers still lingering into Saturday afternoon.

Saturday... The typical pop-up afternoon showers will be present for the Inland Northwest. Temperatures are still running slightly cooler than average in the mid 60s.

Sunday... This looks to be our first completely dry day in over a week! Mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

Memorial Day... The dry streak continues and temperatures will be much warmer. Highs in the mid 70s for Monday and that kicks off a stretch of weather that will stay in the 70s for the final week of May.

WATCH: Scattered showers possible each afternoon as warmer weather slowly returns
