AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — KREM 2 viewers across the Inland Northwest spotted a large dust devil in Airway Heights Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Spokane determined that the dust devil was about three miles ahead of any precipitation in the area and that it was not detected on the radar.
The tall dust devil spotted near Northern Quest stretched all the way from the surface to the clouds, leading some to believe it was a small tornado.
