LAS VEGAS - A week filled with controversy ended in disappointment Saturday night for Michael Chiesa.

Anthony Pettis used a triangle armbar to defeat Chiesa in the second round of their UFC 226 showdown. The loss is the second straight for Chiesa, who lost to Kevin Lee last June.

On Friday the Shadle Park grad failed to make weight for the first time in his career, coming in at 157.5 pounds - over the 156 pound limit. As a result he agreed to give 30 percent of his fight purse to Pettis.

The difficult weight cut took its toll on Chiesa, who appeared low on energy after an aggressive start to the fight.

The loss drops Chiesa's UFC record to 7-4, and will move him out of the Top-10 of the Lightweight rankings. After missing weight he said he was done fighting in the 155 division. That will be the big question in the wake of his loss to Pettis.
