PULLMAN, Wash. — WSU fans in Spokane and Omaha glued their eyes to their TVs to cheer on the Cougs in the first round of this year's March Madness tournament. For the men's team, it was their first appearance in the tournament since 2008.
Both the WSU men and women's teams fought hard to win their respective games, with the men surviving a nail-biter of a second half to take down Drake and the women beating Lamar by 20 points.
Fans were over the moon about how both games played out.
