CJ Elleby's 34 points leads Washington State to 79-67 win over Washington

The Cougs take the first game of the Apple Cup rivalry this season.

PULLMAN, Wash. — CJ Elleby went off for 34 points was Washington State men's basketball beat Washington 79-67 inside Beasley Coliseum on Sunday.

The sophomore forward was 6-9 from three-point range. He finished 10-10 from the free throw  line.

Isaac Bonton was second on the team in scoring with 12 points.

The Cougs forced Washington into 17 turnovers this game. WSU turned that into 27 points.

Washington's Nahziah Carter scored 18 points to lead the Huskies. Jaden McDaniels had 16 points.

With the win, Washington State improves to 14-10 overall and 5-6  in Pac-12 play. Washington falls to 12-12 overall and 2-9 in conference play.
