SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Transit Authority's (STA) new City Line reached 500,000 rides since it was first launched on July 15, 2023.

STA's City Line quickly became one of the most popular routes of the STA system. City Line is best known for its rapid service with rides every seven minutes on weekdays.

STA announced changes to the City Line schedule that will take place on May 26, as part of STA's service change. The new services include rides every 10 minutes and 15-minute rides on Sundays.

“This milestone demonstrates the success of the new BRT service in connecting riders to and through downtown Spokane,” said E. Susan Meyer, CEO of Spokane Transit. “People want convenient, frequent service and connections to major routes and destinations. City Line ridership shows that the new, higher level of service accomplishes what it set out to do.”

City Line runs between Browne's Addition to Spokane Community College and Gonzaga University.
