Two LimeBike scooters found in Spokane River near Post Street Bridge

Two Lime Bike scooters were found in the Spokane River near the Post Street Bridge on Wednesday. You can no longer track them on the Lime Bike app. City officials said they do not plan on retrieving the scooters.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Two LimeBike scooters were found in the Spokane River near the Post Street Bridge on Wednesday.

One of the bikes is near the Washington Water Power Building and the second one is near a rock below Anthony's.You can no longer track them on the Lime Bike app.

The City of Spokane released a statement regarding the bikes. It reads:

"We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged equipment. Lime covers damage to its equipment."

City officials do not plan on retrieving the scooters.

This area of the Spokane River is operated by Avista. Avista officials said they would not be removing them either because of safety concerns and a city ordinance prohibiting anyone in the water between the Division and Monroe Street Bridges.
