SPOKANE, Wash. -- A new Costco location in N. Spokane is opening its doors on Friday morning.
The previous Costco location was located at North Division Street. Now customers will visit a new building at 12020 N. Newport Highway, about 7 miles north of the previous location.
The company planning to revamp the previous location said it is fielding offers from possible tenants and plan to remove the gas station.
“We’re sifting through all the interest we’ve had,” senior vice president Greg Vena said. “Some non-retail stuff, some pure retailers looking at the location…we have been talking to restaurants and retailers for building on the street frontage of the parking lot.”
Company officials expect the renovations to start in the fall, and wrap up by late spring or early summer.
