SPOKANE, Wash. — The Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting its nationwide National Prescription Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27. The event is meant to give the public a safe way to dispose of unneeded medications.
The event will run all over the country from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m.
You can anonymously dispose of tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs.
Spokane and North Idaho residents can take drugs they want to dispose of to the following locations:
- Spokane Police Department – Walmart in the Shadle shopping center
- Spokane Police Department – Northeast Community Center Coalition
- Airway Heights Police Department – Walmart parking lot
- Post Falls Police Department
- Coeur d’Alene Police Department
