MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Latah County prosecution's star witness against Charles Capone testified in front of a packed courtroom Tuesday. Capone is accused of murdering his estranged wife Rachael Anderson.

David Stone told the jury he witnessed Rachael Anderson's murder and later helped Charles Capone dispose of the body

Stone became emotional as he testified that Capone had the look of "Satan" during Anderson's murder.

"Rachel was on her back in between the car and the building. (Charles) Capone was on top of her strangling her. He was straddling her," Stone told the jury.

Stone said Capone wore black gloves during the murder.

He testified that Capone continued to strangle Anderson even after she had died.

Stone testified that the two then wrapped Anderson's body in a tarp, loaded it into the back of his SUV, and then dumped the body into the Snake River.

Capone's defense team said they would cross examine Stone Tuesday afternoon.

In opening arguments, Capone's lawyers tried to discredit Stone by mentioning that he was receiving a deal for his testimony.

They also claimed Stone had changed his story several times.
