QUINCY, Wash. – The Baird Springs Fire in Grant County is 100% contained as of Wednesday morning. Officials said firefighters are mopping up the area.

Officials issued level three evacuations for Road W-NW and Stuhlmiller Road around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. About an hour later, level three evacuations were also issued for Freese Road and Rose Road. By 7:00 p.m. all the evacuation orders were lowered to a level 1.
Officials said the fire started around 3:45 p.m. Highway 28 is closed in both directions at Trinidad.
