GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a shooting in Grant County on Thursday night.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) are investing a shooting and possible "relationship violence" incident that occurred at a home in Royal City. GCSO said evidence suggests the man shot a woman before turning the gun on himself. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the woman is recovering in the trauma center.
At approximately 7 p.m. Thursday night, GCSO said children inside a home on Grape Drive Northwest called 911 and reported a man and woman had been shot. Deputies responded and found an injured man and woman. The two were taken to the hospital, where the man later died.
The names of the man and woman have not been released. The children who were inside the home were not injured and are with caregivers, according to GCSO.
