Reckless driver who allegedly rammed patrol car located

The suspect, Ryan P. Todd, was located in Airway Heights and booked into the Spokane County Jail for second-degree assault, attempting to elude and other charges.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man accused of purposely ramming into a Spokane Police Department (SPD) car has been located.

The suspect, 27-year-old Ryan P. Todd, was arrested on Thursday night and booked into the Spokane County Jail. He is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree malicious mischief, obstruction and attempting to elude police. He is also being held on a fugitive charge out of Idaho.

On April 6, Todd was being contacted by officers regarding a trespassing incident before he attempted to elude police in a white van. Police said Todd drove forward and rammed the patrol car with an officer still inside. Officers attempted to stop Todd, but had to call off their pursuit due to the suspect's reckless driving, as he reportedly drove into oncoming traffic. The van was eventually located in Mead, but was abandoned.

Just after 7 p.m. on Thursday, Todd was located in Airway Heights and arrested.
