SPOKANE, Wash. — Officers with the Spokane Police Department (SPD) have arrested the three remaining suspects in a downtown robbery that took place in March.
Police said 19-year-old Gerson M. Orellana has been charged with first-degree armed robbery and third-degree assault. The suspect was booked into the Spokane County Jail on April 8. Two other minors were charged with first-degree robbery and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
SPD said the group stole money and a backpack from a couple in downtown Spokane before running off through Riverfront Park. The couple that was robbed was also allegedly bear sprayed by the group. Police were able to catch several of the suspects in the park but did not find all suspects.
These three remaining arrests bring the total number of arrests in this case to seven. At this time, SPD said the case has been turned over to the Spokane County Prosecution Office.
