Online child exploitation investigation leads to arrest of Moses Lake man on 15 counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material Possession

Detectives found an IP addresses connected to Michael Boyer uploaded 108 video files. Eleven of those were reviewed and each contained child sexual abuse material.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Moses Lake Police arrested a 67-year-old Moses Lake man on 15 counts of Possession of Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.

On Tuesday, March 26, investigators from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies served a search warrant on Michael Boyer’s Moses Lake home during a child sexual abuse investigation. Detectives found that one of the IP addresses connected to Boyer had uploaded 108 video files online. Eleven of those files were reviewed by police and each contained child sexual abuse material.

According to police, detectives also discovered a cell phone with a Telegram conversation that involved the exchange of 16 files of child sexual abuse material. Detectives also stated they found a “go bag” inside the residence that contained child-size nylon restraints and a pulse oximeter.

Boyer faces 13 counts of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the second degree and two counts of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree.
