Spokane Valley firefighters rescue dog who fell eight feet down storm drain

Firefighters acted quickly and were able to return Nicki safely to her owner.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A harrowing experience for a dog in Spokane Valley turned "paw-sitive" thanks to a group of firefighters.

A dog that fell eight feet down a storm drain was rescued by Spokane Valley firefighters Thursday afternoon. According to SVFD, Nicki was walking with her owner and her siblings before she fell.

Firefighters acted quickly and were able to return Nicki safely to her owner.
