Is HGTV casting a show in the Spokane area?

A mysterious Craiglist ad is throwing hints that HGTV could be looking into hiring general contractors from our area for a new show.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Editor's Note: The above video is about Boise Boys, a HGTV show set in Boise, Idaho.

A mysterious Craigslist ad is throwing hints that HGTV could be looking into talent for a new show in Spokane Valley.

The ad says that JW23 Casting is searching for general contractors in the Spokane area who are interested in appearing on a "groundbreaking new show."

In order to be considered, applicants are asked to fill out an online form and told they will be contacted with next steps if they are selected.

Interested contractors must be licensed to work in and live within one hour away from Spokane Valley, according to the application.

Other locations listed include Brooksville, Florida, Lakewood, Colorado and Saint Paul, Minnesota, among others.

This isn't the first time the Spokane area has made it to the small screen on HGTV.

In 2017, a family from Colorado bought a home in the Lilac City on an episode of HGTV's "House Hunters."
