Nathan Hyun started at KREM 2 News a Multi-Skilled Journalist in June 2022.

He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in journalism and minor in marketing in May 2022. Fight On!

While at USC, Nathan worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer for USC’s student newscast, Annenberg TV News and was a color commentator for USC’s sporting events. He has also interned with CBS, NBC, and FOX News during the COVID pandemic. At USC, Nathan won the LA Press Award for best newscast.

Nathan is excited to return back home to the Evergreen State. He is from University Place, WA where he graduated from Curtis High School. His passion for news started back as a child when he would tell his dad to film him pretending to be a reporter. When he was a sophomore in high school, he met Joyce Taylor from KREM’s sister station in Seattle, who affirmed his desire to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.

Nathan is an avid sports addict and while not at work you can find Nathan watching a Seahawks or Mariners game, on the tennis court, or making vlogs for his YouTube page. He is a proud member of the Asian American Journalist Association and is always looking to mentor student journalists.

If you want to say hello or send him story tips, you can reach Nathan by email nhyun@krem.com or follow him on Twitter @nathan_hyun.
