SPOKANE, Wash. —

Andrew Quinn is the Weekend Sports Anchor and a multi-skilled journalist at KREM 2 News. He started with KREM as a photojournalist and editor in 2019.

He went to school at Gonzaga University and began working at KREM during the final semester of his senior year in 2019.

While at KREM, Andrew has filled in as a sports reporter several times covering the Seattle Kraken’s exhibition game at Spokane Arena, Lexie and Lacie Hull’s trip to the Final Four with Stanford, Tyler Johnson’s jersey retirement, State B basketball, Idaho state football championships and multiple Gonzaga and WSU basketball games.

Andrew was born and raised in San Diego, California, where he first fell in love with sports. He grew up playing baseball, basketball, football and soccer. He is also a huge fan of whiffle ball and pickup basketball and could often be heard commentating on backyard games growing up. It was at that point Andrew decided he would pursue a career in sports broadcasting someday.

Andrew chose to attend Gonzaga University and made his way to Spokane in 2015. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Electronic Media in 2019. During his time at Gonzaga, he worked at the school’s television station as well as writing for the Gonzaga Bulletin newspaper. He hosted a weekly roundtable discussion segment called “Triple Dribble” which aired online at GUTV.com during March Madness. While in college, Quinn had internships at The Mighty 1090 AM sports radio station in San Diego and at SWX TV in Spokane.

When away from work, Andrew enjoys watching sports, hiking, playing pickup basketball, cooking, listening to music, visiting new restaurants and breweries, hanging out with friends and enjoying the beautiful nature the Spokane area has to offer.
