The KREM 2 News team is welcoming Regina Ahn as its newest weekday evening anchor.

She will join Mark Hanrahan anchoring the 10 p.m. newscast on CW and 11 p.m. news on KREM.

Though she was born and raised in Los Angeles, Regina is not worried about the Spokane winter.

She spent time anchoring and reporting in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Casper, Wyoming and Grand Forks, North Dakota. In 2016, Regina won “Best Anchor” from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.

Regina is passionate about reporting on education, visiting schools in her community and exploring the outdoors.

She speaks fluent Korean and loves spicy food. She’s very excited about the culinary community in Spokane.

“The coffee and food scene is amazing! Finding new treasures every day is great, I don’t think I’ll ever be bored here,” she said.

Along with exploring the outdoors, Regina enjoys watching movies with her boyfriend and Maine Coon cat “Kona.”

You can catch Regina on air starting Thursday, March 5.
