Hot day across the Inland Northwest
Updated today at 5:51 AM
We’ve got mostly cloudy skies this morning, but expect clearing for this afternoon with a high of 97 degrees. High temperatures across the region will range from the lower 90s to the lower 100s. The last time Spokane reached 100 degrees was August 1, 2009. A Heat Advisory is in effect for today and tomorrow for the Upper Columbia Basin, Washington Palouse, and Lewiston area. In addition to hot daytime temperatures, nightime lows will be very mild, dropping only into the upper 60s and lower 70s. The hottest temps are expected tomorrow with a high near 100 degrees in Spokane. Ninety degree heat will be with us all week. There is a slight chance for thunderstorms on Wednesday, then again on Friday and into the weekend. Temperatures, however, will remain hot.
