Killian Tillie writes farewell to Gonzaga, thanks team and fans

The senior forward had his final season cut short when the NCAA Tournament was canceled.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Killian Tillie has said goodbye.

On Wednesday, the Gonzaga men's basketball senior forward posted on Instagram thanking his team and the fans. The NCAA Tournament was canceled on March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic, cutting short Tillie's final season with the Zags.

"We all know it's been a tough week, especially realizing that it was my last time putting his jersey on," Tillie wrote. "But man when I look back on the past four years, it was the most exciting, amazing years of my life! Thank you ZagNation for your support and your love. I also want to thank my coaches that believed in me and my teammates/ Best fans in the country. Gonna miss you all! 33 out.". 

The senior battled through many injuries in his four years at Gonzaga. This past season was no different as he was sidelined for games at times this past season.

Tillie averaged 13.6 points and five rebounds in his final year with Gonzaga.
