Lewiston airport loses Horizon Air

The withdrawal of Horizon Air will result in the termination of Seattle and Boise flights to and from Lewiston.

LEWISTON, Idaho -- Horizon Air announced Tuesday that they will no longer provide flights at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport starting Saturday, August 25.

The withdrawal of Horizon Air will result in the termination of Seattle and Boise flights to and from Lewiston.

Alaska Airlines, the parent company of Horizon Air, stated that the withdrawal was due to the average flight performing significantly lower than the system average.

Starting on Sunday, August 26, Alaska Airlines will test daily flights between Pullman and Seattle to help offset the changes.

Employees based in Lewiston will be offered the opportunity to relocate to another city.
