Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across the Inland Northwest Friday afternoon. The heaviest rain that has already been noted was 1.60" in 75 minutes near Newman Lake.

Scattered rain showers continue for the Inland Northwest through Saturday and even into Sunday morning.

This will keep high temperatures slightly below normal, in the mid to upper 60s Saturday and Sunday. Once the rain chances finish and we see more sunshine, mid 70s will be easy to attain in Spokane on Memorial Day Monday.

A warm & dry weather trend sets up for the final week on May. High temps will close in on 80 degrees next week.
