Chance of isolated t-storms Thursday, but Easter weekend could see sunshine

Wet weather holds through the end of the workweek before sunshine returns to the Northwest.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Wednesday proved to be a wet one with widespread rain across the Inland Northwest, but this weekend looks to turn a new leaf with more sunshine.

A low pressure system off the coast of the Pacific Northwest swept the rain into the eastern side of Washington & Oregon on Wednesday. The rain’s expected to stay into the later evening hours before pulling back early Thursday morning.

Speaking of Thursday, our convective outlook is showing a chance for isolated thunderstorms. There’s also still a chance for scattered showers on Thursday & Friday.

Looking to Easter weekend, a ridge of high pressure moving in from the Pacific looks to usher in both sunshine and warmer temps with highs in the upper 50s. The early part of next week could also see temperatures warm up even more to reach the low to mid-60s.
