SPOKANE, Wash — Spokane should see dry weather for most of Friday, with a continuation of above average temperatures. A quick moving cold front will bring a chance of rain and snow to the area in the evening, along with some gusty winds.
If you're headed out to some of the area ski resorts today, plan for windy weather. Winds gusts up to 40 miles-per-hour are expected in the mountains today. A Wind Advisory is also in effect for the Blues in Washington and Oregon until 4 p.m. on Friday, where peak gusts of up to 55 miles-per-hour are possible. The stronger winds will move into the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area by the evening, with gusty conditions lasting through Saturday.
With the passage of a cold front tonight, Spokane will see slightly colder temperatures on Saturday, with dry weather and highs in the upper 30s. Temperatures warm back up into the 40s on Sunday and into next week -- even as we approach the Winter Solstice on Dec. 21. Our average high this time of year is only 32 degrees.
