The Inland Northwest will see one more day of hot weather on Tuesday, with temperatures in the 80s and a few areas near 90 through Tuesday afternoon.

Fire weather concerns arise this afternoon and Wednesday as breezy conditions develop across the area accompanied by low relative humidity.  A Red Flag Warning goes into effect this afternoon for the East Slopes/Yakima area, and a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Wednesday across the Columbia Basin and Spokane area.

What follows will be a big drop in temperatures, as an upper level low pressure system, currently out in the Gulf of Alaska, makes its way into the region.  We'll get our first taste of the cool down on Wednesday, with gusty winds and highs only in the 70s.  Temperatures continue to fall on Thursday, with highs only in the 60s.  We also have a chance for some much needed rain on Thursday.

Temperatures will warm back up to seasonal levels for the upcoming weekend, with highs in the 70s and partly cloudy skies.
