Idaho Highway 11 partially closed after semi-truck tips over

Highway 11 near milepost 7 in Clearwater County, Idaho is closed after a semi-truck tips over and spills its load.

CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho — Highway 11 in Idaho near milepost 7 is partially closed for several hours after a semi-truck tipped over in Clearwater County Wednesday evening.

Clearwater County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash in the area Wednesday afternoon. Aaron Goodwin, 43, of Lewiston was traveling south in a 2014 Kenworth truck owned by KBC Transport of Kooskia loaded with cedar boards.

Goodwin failed to negotiate a turn and the truck and 53-foot trailer tipped onto its side, spilling the load in a ditch. Goodwin wore his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.

Idaho State Police inspected the truck and trailer and determined speed was a factor in the crash. As of 4:40 p.m. Wednesday the roadway is still closed and it will remain closed intermittently for several more hours.
