SPOKANE, Wash. — Gas prices in Spokane have jumped more than 17 cents in the last week, according to a new survey from GasBuddy.
A gallon of gas in Spokane currently costs $3.70 on average. As of Sunday, the cheapest gas station in Spokane was priced at $3.48 per gallon, while the most expensive was priced at $3.99 per gallon.
Prices are currently 9.8 cents higher per gallon than a month ago and 17 cents higher than a year ago. In 2022, gas was $3.53 per gallon at this time.
Prices in Spokane are 9.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 17.0 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 6.9 cents in the last week and stands at $4.45 per gallon.
The lowest price in the state yesterday was $3.39/g while the highest was $5.09/g, a difference of $1.70/g.
"Motorists across many areas of the country have seen gas prices inching down for another week, while some states have moved higher. We've seen some refinery challenges in pockets of the country, while others are starting the transition to summer gasoline, weighing on prices, " said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. " For diesel, the great news is that the most common price in the U.S. for diesel is now $3.99 per gallon, with average prices continuing to drop. In the next couple of weeks, diesel will finally flip to deflationary compared to a year ago, which is excellent news for the economy."
Nationally, the average gas price didn't change, averaging $3.37 per gallon. This is 2.7 cents per gallon cheaper than a month ago and 14.5 cents cheaper than a year ago, according to GasBuddy.
