Ferris High School grad named to Forbes' '30 under 30' list

SPOKANE, Wash. — A Ferris High School graduate was recently named to Forbes Magazine’s prestigious “30 under 30” list for his popular social media storytelling app.

Andy McCune, 23, was recognized for his consumer technology company “Unfold.”

McCune and Alfonso Cobo, 26, launched the design app in January, which provides engaging and user-friendly templates for assembling posts on Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook. The templates often resemble sleek magazine spreads.

In less than a year, Unfold has amassed 11 million users.

Many celebrities use Unfold, including singer and actress Selena Gomez, singer Camila Cabello, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, singer Katy Perry and actress Emma Watson. Several large companies also use the app, including Topshop, L'Oréal, and even CBS.

Unfold gives back to the Ali Forney Center, a New York-based community center helping homeless LGBT youth, along with other charities.

McCune is also the founder of travel media brand Earth, which boasts 1 million Instagram followers, along with a handful of other marketing and digital advertising companies and apps.
