SPOKANE, Wash.—The Washington State Department of Transportation released tips for drivers over Thanksgiving weekend.
WSDOT said state highways across Washington will see typical heavy holiday traffic over the weekend.
Drivers on Interstate 90 can expect lengthy delays, according to WSDOT.
WSDOT officials also warned drivers that there would be longer than usual wait times at ferry docks and at Canadian border crossings.
Crews at WSDOT said they would be working hard to ensure travelers get to their destination safely for the holiday weekend.
WSDOT officials advised drivers to plan ahead to save time and frustration on the roads.
Drivers were encouraged to use WSDOT’s online tools and social media to track traffic conditions.
