Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor is likely out for the season with a neck injury, according to multiple reports. The news comes a week after the Seahawks lost cornerback Richard Sherman for the year with a ruptured Achilles.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who was first to report it, cited "sources informed of the situation."
A source close to Chancellor who asked for anonymity says, "It's highly unlikely that he plays again this year."
Chancellor did not participate in Seahawks practice Thursday or Friday ahead of their game Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.
If the report is accurate, that means Seattle will be without two-thirds of the core members of the Legion of Boom for the final seven games of the year.
