PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State Cougars have had an exciting football season with a 8-1 record and in week 11 of the season, experts are saying they may have a shot in making it to the Rose Bowl with Ohio State.

CBS’ 24/7 sports and the Rose Bowl have both projected that the Ohio State Buckeyes and WSU will meet on Jan. 1 to battle it out.

Ohio State is ranked two spots below WSU at number 10 in NCAA college football ranking and the Buckeyes are 8-1 just like WSU.

The Rose Bowl started in 1901 when Stanford and Michigan played for the title. The teams that play in the Rose Bowl are typically the number one team in the Pac 12 conference and the number one team in the Big Ten Conference.
