SPOKANE, Wash. — Bloomsday has come and gone which means it is time to shift the focus to Hoopfest.

Friday, May 17 is the deadline for guaranteed entry into the 30th annual Hoopfest in Spokane.

Hoopfest is the world’s largest three-on-three basketball tournament. More than 20,000 players and several thousand volunteers participate every year. Hundreds of thousands of spectators watch the tournament.

There are four divisions a team can sign up for, including elite, high school, standard and build-your-own bracket.

Those interested in registering can do so on the Hoopfest website.

Since 1990, Hoopfest has built more than 30 community basketball courts in the region and donated over $1 million to local charities.

You only have to wait a little more than six weeks to play. Hoopfest is set for June 29-30 of this year.

Game on.
