We're now in the thick of high school playoffs as state looms in both Washington and Idaho.

WASHINGTON BOYS PREP BASKETBALL

1A District 7 Semifinal

Deer Park 69, Medical Lake 66 (highlights in video)- Medical Lake and Deer Park battled it out to the final seconds, but the Stags came out victorious. Hunter Dryden and Jobi Gelder had huge games for the Stags, scoring 22 and 20 points respectively. Jordan Petersen had 20 points for Medical Lake. Deer Park and Freeman will face off in the Northeast A championship on Wednesday, February 19th at 6 PM at West Valley.

Freeman 53, Newport 40 (highlights in video)- Freeman used a 19-7 run in the second quarter to defeat Newport. Kaleb Ohler scored 19 points. Freeman and Deer Park will face off in the Northeast A championship on Wednesday, February 19th at 6 PM at West Valley.

2A District 7 Play-In

Pullman 79, Cheney 53 (highlights in video)- Ethan Kramer put his team on his back scoring 26 points en route the Pullman defeating Cheney. Pullman and West Valley will play Saturday, February 15th for a spot in the GNL championship game. That game will take place at University at 6:30 PM.

West Valley (Spokane) 52, East Valley (Spokane) 29 (highlights in video)- West Valley was up 34-5 at halftime against East Valley and cruised from there. Blaine Vasicek and Mikhail Sweet each had 14 points for the Eagles. West Valley and Pullman will play Saturday, February 15th for a spot in the GNL championship game. That game will take place at University at 6:30 PM.

3A District 8 Semifinal

Kamiakin 73, Southridge 39

Mt. Spokane 80, Kennewick 54 (highlights in video)- Mt. Spokane outscored Kennewick 44-22 between the second and third quarters to advance to the 3A GSL-MCC championship game. Tyson Degenhart had 21 points while JoJo Andersen added 15 points. Mt. Spokane will play Kamiakin in the championship on February 21st at 2:15 at the Toyota Center in Tri-Cities.

Oakesdale 51, Colton 34

Pomeroy 39, Garfield-Palouse 29

1A District 7 Semifinal

Deer Park 41, Medical Lake 34 (highlights in video)- With the win, Deer Park will play Freeman in the Northeast A championship on Wednesday, February 19th at West Valley High School at 7:30.

Freeman 44, Colville 43 (highlights in video)- The Freeman girls nearly dropped their first game to a Northeast A team this season, but held on after sinking a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left. Freeman will play Deer Park in the Northeast A championship on Wednesday, February 19th at West Valley High School at 7:30.

2A District 7 Play In

Clarkston 61, Cheney 43 (highlights in video)- Ashlyn Wallace went off for Clarkston scoring 27 points against Cheney. East Valley and Clarkston will battle it out Saturday at 5 PM at University for a spot in the GNL championship. East Valley went 2-1 against Clarkston this year, with the three games decided by a combined six points.

East Valley (Spokane) 69, Pullman 53 (highlights in video)- Brie Holecek had a monster performance scoring 25 points, powering the Knights past Pullman. Ellie Stowell added 18. East Valley and Clarkston will battle it out Saturday, February 15th at 5 PM at University for a spot in the GNL championship. East Valley went 2-1 against Clarkston this year, with the three games decided by a combined six points.

3A District 8 Semifinal

Kennewick 73, Kamiakin 60

Mt. Spokane 43, Hermiston, Ore. 35 (highlights in video)- Mt. Spokane advanced to the 3A GSL-MCC Championship game with their win over Hermiston. They’ll play Kennewick at 12:30 on February 21st at the Toyota Center in Tri-Cities with a spot to state on the line.

IDAHO BOYS PREP BASKETBALL

Coeur d'Alene 34, Lewiston 33 (highlights in video)- Coeur d’Alene’s Devon Johnson score the game winning bucket with less than 10 seconds to defeat Lewiston. The Bengals’ Jace McKarcher had a shot to tie it up at the free throw line in the final seconds, but went 1-for-2.

Lapwai 84, Prairie 66

Moscow 64, Timberlake 44 (highlights in video)- Moscow extended their win streak to seven games in their win over Timberlake.
