Gonzaga has landed the top high school basketball player from the Inland Northwest.
Gonzaga Prep star Anton Watson committed to the Zags Tuesday.
"I talked about it with my parens and you can't really pass up that opportunity," Watson said. "They were the number two team in the nation last year. It was pretty cool that they offered me first
"They are excited for me. They were excited for me to be part of the family, so I'm excited too."

Watson just finished up his sophomore season with the Bullpups, earning second team 4A All-State recognition. The 6-foot-7-inch forward averaged 18 points and 6.8 rebounds, while shooting over 65 percent from the floor and 38 percent from three-point range.
Watson started earning a lot of attention during his sophomore season, with member of Gonzaga's coaching staff making the short trip to see him play. He told KREM 2 Sports Director Darnay Tripp that WSU and Washington have also shown interest.
