SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington State (10-33-1) defeated Gonzaga (25-20) on Monday, 9-5. The win got the Cougars' first series win over Gonzaga since 2011.

Coeur d'Alene native Kyle Manzardo had a stellar game for the Cougs, collecting four hits and driving in two runners while crossing the plate twice himself. Dillon Plew also added two RBI and scored twice.

For Gonzaga, Mason Marenco had one RBI and reached twice.

The Cougars host UCLA this weekend, while Gonzaga hosts Lamar this weekend for the Zags final home stand of the season.
