Gonzaga lands Texas A&M graduate transfer Admon Gilder

The graduate transfer guard has picked Gonzaga. Gilder last played in the 2017-2018 season.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Note: An earlier version of this story said that Gilder played at Texas Tech. It has been updated.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have landed Texas A&M graduate transfer guard Admon Gilder, who has a season of eligibility left.

Gilder made the announcement via social media on Sunday. The transfer will be eligible to play next year for the Zags.

According to Venkataraman, Gilder averaged 12.3 points per game and shot nearly 40 percent from three-point land in 2017-2018, the last season he played.

He played his first three seasons of eligibility at Texas A&M, but was forced to sit out last season due to a blood clot in his arm, according to Venkataraman.

Doctors cleared Gilder in April to resume playing basketball, according to Venkataraman. When he left high school in 2015, he was ranked as a top 100 recruit.
