SPOKANE, Wash. – Several City of Spokane construction projects could impact your Monday morning commute.

Beginning Monday, April 16, MLK Jr. Way will be closed from Division Street to Sherman Avenue. This section will be closed for approximately four months during construction of the University District Bridge, according to the City of Spokane.

The final phase of the MLK Way project includes the construction of a roundabout at Perry Street. Trent Avenue will be closed from Hamilton Street to Napa Street for approximately four months. Access to businesses like like No-Li Brewing, Dry Fly Distillery, URM and the Iron Bridge Campus will remain available from Trent.

The City of Spokane Street Department will also start a grind and overlay project on Wellesley Avenue on Monday, which will close the street between Division and Nevada Street.

York and Cora Avenues will also be closed for construction work beginning Monday. Traffic from York will be detoured to Grace Avenue and traffic from Cora will be detoured to Alice Avenue. The closures are associated with the North Monroe Corridor project.
