SPOKANE, Wash. -- Starting Monday, March 26, US 195 will be undergoing multiple constructions.

There will be two projects underway to repair five bridges and a project to add four new passing lanes.

If you are traveling between Spokane and Pullman, plan extra time for trips and look at alternative routes.

Crews will be setting up temporary traffic signals at three locations on US 195: two near Rosalia and one just north of Steptoe.

The $3.1 million bridge repair project will start on the northbound lanes first, then move over to the southbound side.

The bridge project will work on repairing the underlying pavement support and cement repaving.

The project should end in mid-July.

The second passing lane project is expected to start in late April. The $4.2 million project will create four new passing lanes: three between Rosalia and Plaza and a fourth about eight miles north of Steptoe.

During the lane work, drivers should plan for intermittent delays. There will be flaggers directing traffic during the day.

The passing lane project should end in the mid to late August.
